It was fantastic to once again visit ITP Aero in Hucknall to catch up on their great work.
Since purchasing the site from Rolls-Royce, ITP Aero continue to invest in the facility and now employ over 700 people, including over 15 apprentices. I also had the pleasure of awarding certificates to two degree level apprentices who received distinctions for their work.
ITP Aero UK will be investing over £3.6m across the next four years into the business and have secured £6.5m in funding as well.
There are some really exciting opportunities over the end few years as the technology develops to move to hydrogen fuelled plane engines, and it is great that Hucknall and Sherwood will play a pivotal role in this.
I had a tour of the site and learned more about the noise abatement work the company is doing, to minimise noise coming from the factory for homes nearby, which I know will be appreciated. Thanks to the team for hosting me once again and I hope to be back soon.
