You may remember my post from a couple of months ago, when I was contacted by Charlotte who was concerned there was not a safe space to cross from her house to her school Hucknall Flying High Academy.
Well on Friday I met Charlotte and her sister Hannah at their house, and we did the walk together, in the pouring rain, so I could see the issue for myself. I am in complete agreement with them that we need a crossing, and I will be speaking to the Council to ask that this is looked into ASAP.
Once we arrived at the school I took the opportunity to meet Mr Clowery, the Headteacher, and have a tour of the school. I was last here when we opened the school, and it is wonderful to see how it has developed. It is a fantastic school, and all the pupils I met were a real credit to the school and their families.
