Today I chaired a meeting at Jubilee Hall in Ollerton with residents of the Rufford Oaks estate and key stakeholders, to discuss issues within the community.
The great news is that Severn Trent have adopted the sewerage works on the site, and Nottinghamshire County Council are close to adopting the highway on the estate, once they finalise checks to ensure the developers have left it in the right condition.
A big thank you to all the residents who came along to ask questions, which varied from the management charges, to highways concerns and many more about the running of the estate.
Thanks to the representatives from Nottinghamshire County Council, Via East Midlands, Severn Trent and Gateway PLC for attending and answering questions.
I know there are many questions about management companies and the operation of new estates across Sherwood. I am therefore pleased the Government is reviewing the legislation around this to ensure residents are treated fairly.
